We currently have seven hens – one ex-batt (the last of four who came to us Sept 09); two Light Sussex (Dec 09 POL); one Rhode Rock (Jan 10 POL); and three Welsummer (May 10 @ 9 weeks old) …

February ... and the cold weather arrives at last. Egg production is up, too. So it must be Spring ...

January 2011 ... only one or two eggs a day, until the tree surgeon visits and we have light!
